Hey y'all,
So, we're midway into December and by this time last year I would've been counting the money in my wallet, checking account balances, and browsing through retail ads looking for the perfect gifts for the perfect price. But every time I walk past the lower cabinet in the kitchen it irks me that I can't fully close it because the bags of yarn are trying to jump for their freedom. I have gifts, lots of gifts! I have time. I have the enthusiasm to complete a project not for profit, so why not?
I want to keep things simple and sweet yet meaningful and personal. I like to gift functional things as well. If it's not, surely the giftee knows of someone that could make use out of it. I'm a firm believer of re-gifting! I started a hat and scarf set for my dad using a simple stitch and colors of his favorite football team, Florida State University. I must admit, if I was a diehard fan I'd keep this one for myself! I used Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand yarn and I love the weight, I love the ply, and I love, love, love the feel of it. That's saying A LOT for me because I don't care to use acrylic yarn at all! I'm excited to complete more projects using Lion Brand!
Go me!
