Sweater Practice...Thanks Moogly!!!

After my first attempt at crocheting a sweater following a pattern failed, I had no interest in finding another one until I got to playing around on Facebook and discovered a blog called Moogly. I was absolutely impressed by the tutorials, written patterns, stitch illustrations, and beautiful photographs.  I pulled up a few sweater patterns and discovered the Summer Breeze Baby Sweater by Tamera Kelly 2013. I read the pattern thoroughly and watched two tutorials to clear up any confusion I had about a few rounds, then got started! I will say, instead of doing the extended single crochet the pattern called for, I did the half double crocheted instead, simply because it is fall and I didn't mind a heavier weight with my sweater, and me being the anxious person that I am, the hdc seems to be a quicker stitch. I did follow through with the rest of the pattern's stitches and I love the end result! I like this method, working a sweater in rounds. It call for no stitching of seams. I would definitely work this pattern again, adding sleeves, pockets, whatever I feel like adding to it. It was great, not once did I get frustrated and put my hook down except to take a break. I never really time myself when I work, but I started well after midnight and finished up sometime after 3 or 4 a.m.  I got some sleep, then added the finishing touches this morning which probably lasted about 30 minutes.  Thanks Moogly!
