Updates, Custom Orders, New Things for Spring!

I've been away for awhile, busy with my first priorities:  I'm enrolled in school full time, my son just started a preschool program that requires me to volunteer a certain amount of hours as well. But, I still crochet when the time permits it.   I sold my first custom order just before Valentine's Day. Two beanies for a friend of my sister and I, that we've known for quite some time. They were a gift to her boyfriend and herself designed after Panamanian and Jamaican flags. So, in total I've sold three hats and one head band off of word of mouth.  Then sold three more at one of the local consignment shops called Play it Again.  It's a really great shop that sells gently used children and teen apparel, shoes, accessories, toys and baby equipment.

I haven't had any luck with online selling yet, but I feel like being proactive and patient is key.  With social media not taking a backseat any time soon, there's always more that I can do to get the word out about my work. It's challenging finding the right home for my work, being one of a trillion people that crochet it seems.  What makes my store and the products I sell different from the others?  That's a great question. There's a lot of research and work to be done.
